The Israeli army has announced new measures to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza

This follows international humanitarian groups complaining about the restrictions in Gaza

The Israeli army announced today Thursday what it called "new and improved measures" to bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, including building a new crossing in northern Gaza.

The spokesman of the army, Admiral Daniel Hagari, has said in his statement through a video that the new way to cross the land will enable more aid to enter directly to the citizens in areas that have been a challenge for the trucks to reach.

International aid groups have complained for months about roadblocks to trucking aid into Gaza, citing both delays by the Israeli military and the lack of safe access to areas such as northern Gaza due to war damage.
