PRESIDENT TO FIRE 70,000 GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES TO REDUCE SPENDING

ARGENTINA: President Javier Milei has planned to fire 70,000 Government Employees whose Contracts are expected to end soon to reduce Government spending

Speaking on March 26, 2024, he said he planned to stop some Public Projects and cancel more than 200,000 Social Welfare programs after the Projects were linked to Corruption

He said "We have removed the issue of job transfer and we are also removing 70,000 Public Employees. Public projects are the main source of theft, theft that I believe all good people should oppose."
