THERE IS NO LAW THAT ALLOWS THE ARRESTING OF PEOPLE WHO ARE EATING IN PUBLIC DURING RAMADAN.

 

The Zanzibar police force has said that there is no law that allows the Zanzibar Police to arrest people who eat in public during the month of Ramadan.

The chief commissioner of the Zanzibar police force, CP Hamad Khamis Hamad has explained that the police's goal was to arrest people who were smoking marijuana in Mnazi Mmoja areas after receiving a video clip showing those people along with others who were having lunch
